- 2 — Everything settled before you book flights. Surgical plan, insurance verification or a direct-pay quote, and your surgery date — all confirmed before you spend anything on travel.
- 3 — Outpatient surgery in Miami. The procedure is performed at the affiliated surgical center, and you recover at your hotel that same day — no hospital stay for typical first-time cases.
- 4 — A stay of about five to seven days. Partner hotels minutes from the office make the logistics simple. Before you fly home, Dr. Gheiler examines you at a post-operative visit.
- 5 — Follow-up from wherever you live. Later check-ins — including teaching you to use the device when healing allows — happen by video call.
What the short stay does — and does not — include
The Miami stay covers the surgery, the first days of healing close to your surgeon, and the in-person check that clears you to travel. It does not include device activation — the implant stays deflated while tissues heal, and activation comes later in recovery, taught over video for out-of-town patients.
